I have a passion for education, as a very experienced tutor of students of all ages. I feel getting a good education is very important and a critical stepping stone toward future success. In addition to my tutoring experience, I have been a classroom teacher and enjoy the interaction that happens in a classroom setting. The most rewarding part of tutoring is helping a student that may be struggling with a difficult subject to understand and grasp essential principles. I believe establishing a plan that brings students on a learning path is a great way to motivate them to learn new things. Learning should be an enjoyable experience and I try and bring my joy for teaching to the tutoring table to further engage my students. My experience living for nine months in Peru has been a big boost to my tutoring of Spanish 1. In addition, I tutor Elementary Math, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, Math, English, Arithmetic, Essay Writing, ESL/ELL, and Phonics. I also do test preparation for the ISEE and the SSAT. I attended Meredith College where I received my master's degree in Teaching for elementary education. In my spare time I enjoy eating out at restaurants, playing chess, hiking, reading, and dancing.
