Experience
I'm a former teacher who has been tutoring both independently and working for tutoring companies for several years. I love working with students of all ages and abilities. My expertise lies in the area of reading, writing, and academic coaching. Academic coaching is passion of mine. Whether I'm working with an elementary age student struggling with school or a college student trying to get organized, I love helping students find their academic gifts. Special areas: College Essay Writing Essay Writing AP English/History SAT Verbal ACT Verbal Creative Writing Public Speaking Elementary/Middle/High School Reading and Writing My work as an elementary educator offers me lots of insight when helping kids who are struggling with reading and writing. I've used Word Their Way, Making Words, Lucy Calkins Writing, and more. When working with High School students and College Students, I really enjoy helping them find their own voices when writing essays. Creative writing is a passion of mine, and I employ creative writing techniques to help students with academic writing. College Course Tutoring: Writing (Technical and Creative) Poetry and Fiction Literature Art History Public Speaking College Study Skills and Organization Medical Terminology I've worked with preschoolers all the way up to college students. Each one of my students receives an individualized plan to help them reach their goals.
