I have twelve years of teaching experience in grades K-5. I most recently taught 5th Grade Math and Science in Charlottesville, VA. I have taught every grade kindergarten through sixth and have worked as a tutor for six years. I enjoy working with students to connect their current knowledge to new concepts. I believe that students learn best by playing games and participating in hands-on experiences. Teaching children to love what they are learning is the key to developing lifelong learners. I create lessons that support exploration, creative thinking and authentic problem solving.
