I offer private tutoring sessions for Spanish, French, reading, writing, study skills, digital marketing, and math. I also offer full-language immersion activities for children and teens. The initial consultation is free of charge and will allow me to assess the student's unique learning style, classroom challenges, and areas of interest. This allows me to create custom-made curriculum that will incorporate the existing home/school work as well as exercises and activities designed to foster a lifelong love of learning in that subject. I received a BA in Hispanic Studies from the College of William and Mary and lived abroad in Barcelona, Spain for two years where I taught private language classes. I am fluent in both Spanish and French and am currently learning Italian. As a result of my total immersion in both Spain and France, I understand the subtleties of the languages and find great joy in sharing the culture behind them. I am an experienced document translator, but my greatest love is teaching. I taught high school Spanish (levels I-IV Honors) and discovered that I have a gift for connecting with students and helping them rediscover the joy of learning. I live for those "aha" moments and would love to help you or your child excel in a language, get unstuck in math, or grow as a reader and writer. I am a former Upper School language teacher who shifted into Digital Marketing when I started my family. I have extensive experience with Spanish, French, K-12 core subjects, Paid Search (Google/Bing Ads), Digital Marketing, and study/organizational skill guidance. In addition to being a proud mom of 4 kids, I love to travel, try new recipes, challenge myself with new languages, practice yoga, and just generally be active.
