Jessica B.
Private tutor in Charlottesville, VA
Education
I received my undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies with a minor in Elementary Education, English as a Second Language, and Exceptional Education from James Madison University. I obtained my Master of Arts in Teaching at James Madison University.
Experience
I have worked with children of all ages from all different backgrounds in a variety of different settings. I have babysat, worked at a summer camp for children with learning disabilities, tutored in reading and math, worked as a teacher's assistant for a children's program, and volunteered at schools while pursuing my degree. I enjoy tutoring because I know how important that one-on-one interaction is for students. It creates a wonderful environment the student can feel successful in without having to compete for attention. It also allows me to think out of the box and try new activities and ideas.
