Experience
My tutoring experiences dates all the way back to elementary school. I was in the Advanced English class in 5th grade and tutored 1st graders to help build their reading comprehension skills. Throughout middle school and high school I continued to help peers one on one and children through my National Honor Society chapter. I want to be a tutor because I know firsthand how valuable it can be. My 1st grade teacher was racist and would not give me or the other kids of color the attention or assistance that we needed to excel. I was enrolled in an English tutoring program and without it, my reading and writing skills would not have been nearly as well developed as they are now, allowing me to earn a degree in a subject that requires a great deal of reading and writing. This is why I am especially fond of working with children. The foundation for success can never be set too early. Before becoming a SWAG major, I planned to double major in Psychology and Sociology. I have taken many courses in these two subjects and earned college credits in high school by taking AP Psychology. BONUS: As a Drama minor, I have had experience directing, acting, and singing and can tutor and/or coach your child in any of the three subjects :)

Mon/Wed/Fri in the afternoon, Tues/Thurs after 1PM, Sunday in the evening, Saturday in the afternoon

Hobbies
I am an avid film lover and love television shows like "Glee", "Modern Family", etc. I also love attending and participating in theater productions in the Charlottesville area with the UVA Drama Dept., Live Arts, and Play On!
