Able to quickly diagnose and respond to a student's learning needs in order to efficiently provide instruction while being sensitive to different styles of learning along with teacher expectations. Will work with your child's classroom teacher for consistency in learning vocabulary and learning objectives. I find that working with students one-on-one is my teaching strength along with finding creative avenues to learn while keeping faithful to research based techniques.

Hobbies
Depending on the subject being studied I love to find creative ways to redirect the energy of a certain topic. For example, if a child is working with reading fluency I find that providing books with topics that the student really does like and reading those books with/to the student can model fluent reading along with hopefully a "hook" for wanting to read for fun on their own. Personally I love to read, exercise, cook, and spend time with my children and husband. Free play is fascinating for me to watch how my children manipulate and learn about their world.
