EducationB. S. in Physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara; M. S. in Data Science at the University of Virginia (in process)
ExperienceHello! I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) in 2016 with a B. S. in Physics. Currently, I am seeking a M. S. in Data Science at the University of Virginia (UVA). I have been tutoring infrequently since the end of high school. I enjoy working with people of all backgrounds and of all ages. I am generally very capable of teaching and tutoring any maths and sciences up to the highest high school level, and I can tutor maths and physics for any college course.
I like to see people challenge themselves. It is always good to succeed, but failure is unavoidable and can even be beneficial. Every person should decide what success means to themself. I believe that if you genuinely feel good about your work, the merits will come.
I was a participant and one of the school-wide top scorers in the AMC 10, AMC 12, and AIME. (high school mathematics competitions) I was the president of my high school chapter for Mu Alpha Theta, the national high school & two-year college mathematics honor society. As part of my undergraduate physics degree, I learned a lot of advanced mathematics that are useful across many science and engineering disciplines.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Physics degree. I began learning physics in high school, so I know what it is like to take AP physics classes, AP physics tests, and the SAT II Physics test as well as how to earn a high score. I have experience in experimental physics including experimental research, but theoretical physics is my specialty. I really enjoy reading physics textbooks and having conversations about physics theory.

You can call or text me between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, or you can email me anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org. I am happy to meet anywhere convenient for you, but I also do not have a car. I am close to the transit system, though, so hopefully we can work something out.
HobbiesI enjoy reading physics textbooks and having conversations about physics theory. My favorite activities include swimming, badminton, and games of all kinds. I am open to new ideas and experiences.
